Harvest will be immediately followed by a Warner Theatre Fundraiser Reception held in the Grand Art Deco lobby of the Warner Theatre featuring the fine food of Executive Chef: Michael Bick's "Somethings Fishy Catering" sponsored by Union Savings Bank and PALM Beer with live music by "The Ironics". Then it's across the street to The Connecticut Academy For The Arts for desserts and coffee with live entertainment by The Singers, Songwriters Network.
We are especially pleased to confirm that actress Barbara Barrie will be on hand along with the film's writer and director - Marc Meyers and producer - Jody Girgenti to answer questions and greet you at the reception.
Three generations of a family come together one summer, around the eventual passing of the patriarch of the family, a WWII veteran. Gathered at the family home and in and around their beautiful shoreline town, years of resentment and betrayal within the family surface, and the grandson, a college student, does his part to hold them all together, growing up in the process.Harvest is a poignant story that is ultimately uplifting, with moments of humor anchoring this realistic portrait of a family hanging on to what was, what is, and to each other.Harvest was filmed entirely in the state of Connecticut, being one of the first to benefit from the film industry tax credit. The ensemble cast includes Academy Award nominee Robert Loggia, Academy Award nominee Barbara Barrie, Jack Carpenter, Arye Gross, Tony Winner Victoria Clark, Peter Friedman, along with Daniel Eric Gold, Adriana Sevan, Kel O'Neill, and Christine Evangelista.Produced by Jody Girgenti and Marc Meyers. Distributed in 2011 by Monterey Media. Original music score by: Grammy and Tony Awards Winner Duncan Sheik and frequent collaborator David Poe composed the score.
